The Frenkel-Pinter lab studies evolution of chemical systems (i.e. chemical evolution) and generation of novel polymers with new emergent properties such as structure and function. The Frenkel-Pinter lab is merging concepts from origins-of-life and biotechnology to harness the creative potential of chemical evolution towards development of evolving functional biodegradable polymers for biotechnological applications.
