Brief Summary of research:

In my research group at the Hebrew University, we focus on finding new photoactive material families with promising optoelectronic properties. Using state-of-the-art spectroscopy tools, we aim to uncover the fundamental defect distributions in these materials. By doing so, we enable a new approach that enables contact-less careful characterization of the structure-property relations of new materials already in the initial stages of material synthesis and screening, in order to uncover their limitations and understand how to improve them in the future.

Specific research topics related to Nanoscience and Nanotechnology:

We study mainly thin films (100s of nm thick usually) using spincoating, and from time to time will also make devices (there it would be great to transfer the layers under inert atmosphere to the nano center and evaporate the contacts). We will also need to characterize the films using XRD, and other thin film characterizations methods such as SEM, to make sure they are uniform and phase-pure, before turning to our spectroscopy tools in our lab.
