Brief Summary of research: 

Our group develops and applies geometric and analytical tools to model and understand the physics of solids, particularly slender solids, ranging from graphene and other two-dimensional materials to cellular tissues and mechanical metamaterials. While our theories are grounded in the study of natural systems they also enable the design of new materials with tailored geometric and mechanical properties spanning length scales from the nanoscale to the macroscale.
