Brief Summary of research:
Our research is focused on studying the properties of novel soft-lattice semiconductor compounds (soft-semiconductors). Soft-semiconductors, such as lead-halide perovskite, combine desirable optical and electrical properties with simple, low-cost, and versatile synthesis
Specific research topics related to Nanoscience and Nanotechnology:
- Interactions of low-dimensionality (2D, 1D, and 0D), soft-semiconductors with light and X-ray radiation
- Development of mixed-dimensionality composite semiconductors for light emission applications
- Study of scintillator detectors based on low-dimensionality compounds and nanocrystals
