Michael Kokotov, Ph.D.
Principal technologist, HP Inc. - Indigo Division
The seminar will focus on HP-Indigo’s liquid electrophotographic (LEP) printing technology, providing an overview of its main technological building blocks and the key scientific and engineering challenges involved. The session will begin with a brief introduction to HP-Indigo’s business and its primary application areas, followed by an in-depth discussion of the unique aspects of the LEP process, printing press architecture, the materials employed, and the considerations related to system development and optimization.
Michael holds a BSc in Chemistry from the Hebrew University and a PhD in Material Science from the Weizmann Institute of Science, Department of Materials and Interfaces, under the supervision of Professor Gary Hodes. His thesis focused on the deposition and characterization of nanocrystalline composite films of II-VI semiconductors. Michael has 14 years of experience at HP Indigo in various technological roles and currently serves as Principal Technologist in the Indigo Printing Technology Lab. Prior to joining HP Indigo, he held R&D positions in the microelectronics, photovoltaics, and energy storage industries.
